The story is quite simple:
to justify the wrongdoings that had plagued their land, men shifted their blame toward deities. it began with deities of their own culture, then as time passes, the ultimate blame was placed on THE OVERSEERS that which they have no full knowledge of: only that they are comprised of villainous quality.
as beliefs are: they spread like plague and pioneered toward a new civilization. as all spread like wildfire, men then created their own brand of THE OVERSEERS, though far from perfect. they call their own as THE ACOLYTES.
though as time passes by and the pursuit of knowledge advances, mankind realizes that THE OVERSEERS, FILTH, and their weapon: REGALIA, is very much a real threat: a ticking bomb, one might say.
the same force that drove belief also drove mankind to make their own weapon to counter and eradicate REGALIA: a weapon based on human virtues. though this weapon remains humanely imperfect.
this imperfection of weapons demands sacrifice, vessel and beholder. THE ACOLYTES then experimented with magic and science, with deities and cycles of decay all the same, until they created individual weapons, as well as the group of vessels: GENESIS.

CHAPTER I
Something is rising, enough to drive THE ACOLYTES to kickstart the THE GENESIS PROJECT again. With their long-standing member, Tantalea, they start recruiting the other Virtues. Some were recruited directly, as is the case for Charity; taken from their guardians as Kindness did; or waltzed in mysteriously the way Patience did. Some others are recruited through a more gruesome manner, such as Rosewood and Temperance who were taken against their will. Their initial meetings were tense and some of their relationship remains rocky until the bitter end that resulted in Rosewood's death.
CHAPTER II (on-going)
While some of their relationships have improved, the seat for Chastity and Humility remains vacant. THE ACOLYTES then introduced Chastity, a new Humility, and a potential candidate for Diligence.
